What does an Inside Sales Representative do at Univar Solutions?
It is our first step into the sales organization. As such, inside sales position means you work from the office.
Your responsibility is to develop a portfolio of 2000 companies with inconsistent purchasing behaviour. In some cases that means getting them to use our online shop, in some cases to focus on increased volumes, in yet other cases to develop the relationship so they choose Univar Solutions as their primary source of ingredients and chemicals. Depending on the customer, the goal will vary. Aside from that, there will also be ample opportunity for prospecting and creating new business. Naturally, what you will be primarily measured on is the amount of activity.
Who might you be?
We think you have some experience in customer interaction, perhaps from a call centre or similar. You are committed to professionalizing your career and take the next step.
To be successful in this job, we expect you to be alert, disciplined, a fast learner, and curious. You probably have some experience in setting goals for yourself and working at it until you reach those goals, what is commonly called grit.
Although chemicals and ingredients may sound complicated and hard, the focus of this position (competence wise) is not on what we sell, but rather on the selling itself. Being curious is always a great trait, and probably makes the job more interesting.
What else? Since communication is key to this position, full professional proficiency in Swedish is a requirement, as well as confidence in English (written and spoken).
What does the team look like?
In the business unit you will find a team of 13 people based in Malmö, Gothenburg, and Oslo. 8 of them are in the sales team. At the office in Malmö, you find the Nordic headquarter with 80 colleagues in different business units and teams. We have a wide variety of backgrounds and span all generations of the current job market.
