The GTP Electromobility Purchasing function has the responsibility for Electromobility as well as Hydrogen Solutions & New Technologies (where this role is hosted). About the role
As Innovation & Early Phase Manager, you are one of the key stakeholders in establishing GTP's overall innovation agenda. This includes leading early phase investigations and pre-studies, as well as exploring different types of business models and partnerships, often with start-ups. The role also includes being the purchasing interface towards the Group Trucks Technology (GTT) Innovation Managers in CampX Gothenburg as well as other innovation stakeholders in Volvo Group. You are also, together with your other colleagues, responsible for being the purchasing interface towards different external innovation hubs and networks.
Another important task in this role is to enable successful networking, scouting, and integration of innovations and new technologies from external suppliers and partners in the Group Trucks' Technology Development initiatives and to continue our transition from a reactive to a proactive way of working in early phases.

As we are solving a variety of different issues, often starting with limited information, we believe you are agile, pragmatic, driven and always open to learn new things. We have a strong emphasis on collaboration and sharing, hence we expect you to be a team player that builds relationships over time.
You have a Masters or Bachelor university degree within relevant field (e.g. in Purchasing Management), or comparable work experience.
You have experience from Purchasing and/or Product Development within the automotive industry.
Background within Innovation is a strong merit.
