The GTP Electromobility Purchasing function has the responsibility for Electromobility as well as Hydrogen Solutions & New Technologies (where this role is hosted). In our function, we have the passion for technology and new business models, and we are seeking you to join our team. We are a newly created team that strongly collaborates with our internal colleagues and external partners globally, every day. Our team's mission is to drive exploration and projects within the hydrogen ecosystem collaborating with a high diversity of companies to make Volvo Group the most desired Innovation Business Partner.
About the role
As Innovation & Early Phase Manager, you are one of the key stakeholders in establishing GTP's overall innovation agenda in the Hydrogen Solutions space. This includes leading early phase investigations and pre-studies, as well as exploring different types of business models and partnerships, all to secure Volvo Group's position in the Hydrogen Solutions domain.
Another important task in this role is to enable successful networking, scouting, and integration of Hydrogen solutions technologies from external suppliers and partners in the Group Trucks' Technology Development initiatives and to continue our transition from a reactive to a proactive way of working in early phases.

Being the spider in the web and part of a global organization, it is important to have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
You are driven by passion to develop sustainable solutions with pioneering products and services for the transport and infrastructure industries .As we are solving a variety of different issues, often starting with limited information, we believe you are agile, out of the box thinker, driven and always open to learn new things.
We have a strong emphasis on collaboration and sharing, hence we expect you to be a team player that builds relationships over time and enjoy bringing fun and positive energy in such a work environment.
You have experience from Purchasing and/or Product Development within the automotive industry.
Background within hydrogen economy or innovation ecosystem is a strong merit.
You have a Masters or Bachelor university degree or comparable work experience.
