The automotive industry is undergoing a rapid transformation with major technology shifts. Connectivity is one of those areas in which disruptive technologies are taking place. Therefore at Vehicle Connectivity, within Volvo Group Trucks Technology, we have exciting opportunities to shape the future by proving innovative solutions and products that generate added value to our customers. We are now seeking an Innovation Leader, a person who has an eye for opportunities and who is eager to lead the innovation journey in the fast-paced, ground-breaking and thrilling area of Connectivity.
What you will do?
The overall mission of the Innovation Leader is to nurture the innovation culture in our organization as well as initiate and lead innovation activities.
Key responsibilities include identifying ideas and prospect solutions that might improve productivity and operations of our customers, thus creating new business opportunities. You will manage our Advanced Engineering portfolio and drive its projects. You will facilitate experts and specialists bringing together their knowledge in order to generate ideas that can become new concepts and eventually ventures. Together with other innovation teams within the Volvo Group, you will define innovation strategies that get us in the forefront of transport solutions. You will also be key player in creating an inspiring work climate, by promoting an innovation-friendly organization culture.
In this position you will report to the Director of Systems, Function & Verification and you will also be part of its corresponding Management Team.

Who are you?

We expect that you have proven track record in innovation management, at least three years. You have experience in methodologies such as design thinking and lean start-up. Experience from the automotive or telecom industries is considered as an asset. You have experience and good knowledge of agile software development methodologies, with ability to further develop yourself.
Applicants shall have a M.Sc. degree in Engineering or similar.
