Continuous Innovation and a strong entrepreneurial capability will play a key role in this journey which is ultimately about creating a transport ecosystem that meets the Paris Agreement goals of limiting global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
In this role, you will work in a cross-functional working group as a representative of the Innovation Office, which is a part of the department Research & Innovation Office at Scania R&D. The Innovation Office is led by Fredrik Pehrsson who have a background in both business development and design. In our team, you find designers, innovators and project manager for projects like the Scania NXT. By working in explorative innovation projects as well as supporting the organization in various innovation management practices, we aim to strengthen Scania's ability to turn research on the transport system into tangible business opportunities. We want you to help us become even sharper in our problem framing, accelerate the pace of prototyping, and bring creative ideas on how to build stronger business models with a system perspective.
Innovation Factory is a Scania initiative coordinated by department YRI (innovation office) and XX (strategy office) aimed at improving the entrepreneurial capability in the company. Our mission is to leverage our most valuable asset - our employees - and to add a dimension where they can bring fundamentally new business models to the market. We hope to develop people in a new way of thinking, creating a mindset for identifying new opportunities in our ecosystem. Your coaching skills will be particularly valuable for the bold projects we drive in this process.
As an Innovation Coach, you support initiatives aiming at exploring new business ideas. You will be facilitating design sprints and boot camps to accelerate the development in various innovation initiatives, with the main responsibility for the support of teams in the Innovation Factory process. There you will help teams develop strong business cases and support them in everything from navigating the corporate landscape and find opportunities, to create a strong team ready for pitching in Scania Dragons Den. It's an inspiring environment where you will work closely with some of the most futuristic people at Scania who all have a desire to create a footprint on our future journey.
Together with your colleagues you will of course also continuously improve the whole incubation process and make it an even greater part of Scania's organization.
Tasks
- Coach individuals and teams to develop their entrepreneurial way of working and give them guidance on how to take their projects forward
- Develop innovation processes aimed to support new business ideas at Scania
- Lead workshops in innovation projects in different contexts and sprints
- Coordinate activities in Innovation Factory including inspirational events with external speakers
- Host educative sessions on the topic of entrepreneurship and innovation
- Coach external startups in navigating the Scania organization
Your profile
You have an entrepreneurial attitude, prepared for both cultural as well as organizational challenges, but with a desire to maximize the prerequisites for your colleagues to succeed with innovation. With a problem-solving attitude, you curiously navigate in the opportunities of new technologies, thrilled to find new ways to challenge the status quo. You feel comfortable working with the lean startup toolbox, have experience from leading design processes or are in any other way used to support innovators become successful. You always seek new ways to boost your colleagues' creative confidence and have a passion for finding structures that help them approach uncertain environments. Experience from working with startup investments, incubators or in an actual startup yourself is a plus. Just as important as relevant education is your attitude, coaching skills as well as your leadership. You speak English fluently.
