To make that magic happen we combine supply chain knowledge with data analytics in an exploratory environment where organization and hierarchy are less important.

The Initial Inventory Analyst is part of the Demand and Inventory Planning (DIP) team within the SCO organization. We are looking for a team member with a strong technical and analytical background who has a passion for driving improvements and finding new solutions.

In this role you will be responsible to provide an input of parts and quantity which will be used in the sourcing process, and later to determine initial stock at the start of production according to product development (DVP) deliverables and the introduction block timeline. Accurate initial stock will ensure the availability of new parts and drive uptime on customer-purchased new trucks/machines and engines. The Initial Inventory Analyst will determine a phase-in forecast for applicable parts to ramp-up the part according to the predicted demand.

Key responsibilities
Calculate and provide Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP)/Purchasing a sourcing volume forecast for applicable parts .
Manage and set the initial stock to be available in the supply chain at start of production or introduction of the intro-block .
Continuously follow-up performance on initial stocking by forecast quality and driving improvement based upon learnings.
Drive collaboration with Group Truck Technology (GTT) and the Business Area(s) to improve data quality and forecast models .

a self-starter who enjoys a good challenge and creative problem solving
curious to leave well-trodden paths to engage and collaborate cross functionally
interested in learning agile methods, and working with cloud services (Azure, AWS)
excited in deepening your skills in Python, SQL, R and Power BI
used to think, reason and the craft around simulations and optimizations
Proficient in English and able to communicate efficiently with peers and senior management

We believe you have strong analytical skills. You like to work with large amount of data to perform in-depth analyses and have the ability to present the result of the analysis in a comprehensible manner to a wide range of stakeholders. We see that you have experience within logistics and inventory management from studying or work as this is the core of our business. Your education background is from university studies within Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Logistics, or other relevant paths.
