Client Application is a function that develop and maintain the processes and tools that is used by the Client Application package factory in their daily work when they package, test, distribute and deploy application for Windows XP, Windows 7 and Terminal Server
Position Description
The Volvo IT global Client Application Team is looking for a skilled Client Application technician who can help us to develop new global solution and maintain existing global solutions within the Client Application area. With focus on Process and tools development.
The Client Application infrastructure mainly consists of technologies required for desktop-deployment, -configuration and -update, including technology areas like Client Applications, Windows Clients, Windows Server, Active Director and Systems Management. The large centrally managed infrastructure has also required some of in-house developed solutions that mostly are based on Windows Scripting technologies.
Technical competence requirements, highly skilled in:
• MSI technology
• Windows Desktop (XP and Windows7)
• Windows Server (2003 & 2008)
• Microsoft App Virtualisation technology
• Windows Scripting knowledge
• System Center Configuration Manger (SCCM)
• Active Directory
Complementing technical competence, advantage:
• Operating System Deployment (OSD) in System Center Configuration Manger
• Apple OSX
• Storage technologies
• Terminal Services
General competence requirements:
• Skilled in writing technical documentation
• Skilled in creating process documentation
• Speaks and writes English fluently
• Able to work independently or in a team
Personal characteristics:
• Service-minded
• Driving force
• Be structured to work
• Good ability to cooperate
• Willing to share skills within the team
• Enjoy working in an international environment
