hela Sverige Global Infrastructure Production Storage teams are looking for a Storage technical that carries out installations, technical support and maintenance according to instructions given for infrastructure and applications. The Production Technician proactively works with operational measurement and tuning and resolves the majority of escalated incidents mainly from the Linux and Windows platforms
The role ensures quality, efficiency and security in production and the positions give opportunity to work in global networks together with people around the world.
Job description:
As a part of the global backup team, primarily handle failed backup, add new backup scheduler, monitor and maintain the environment.
The Production Technician is mainly working in the Deploy and Operate processes, both run-time and one-time.
We run TSM Backup 6.2 on a Linux platform today.
As a Storage Technical you will work with routines in the Backup Storage for quality, efficiency and security and also carry out the daily work according to the standardised routines. You will also provide guidance to technicians and to contribute to problem localisation and resolution. The Storage Technician will also work with resolving the majority of escalated cases and incidents and also when required to contribute with knowledge within projects, reviews, etc. You will report performance, efficiency and capacity measurements to Infrastructure Management, Service runtime Manager and Application function.
Qualifications:
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You have a proactive mindset sense of responsibility and structured approach and you are a good listener that likes to share knowledge and in continuous improvement. Since our corporate language is English, you must be able to speak and write in English fluidly.
For this position it is strongly desired to have a couple of years of experience in storage within in large/complex environment
• Storage experience in backup solutions
• Experience of Storage Operations from Windows, Unix/Linux environments.
• Additional skills in storage backup area, like how to backup/restore database.
You should also have excellent skills in maintaining and producing documents.
