We are looking for someone to help us automate our technology stack as the company and product continue to grow. Utilizing primarily Amazon Web Services, you will be responsible for optimizing our delivery pipeline and maximizing the efficiency and maintainability of operational processes through infrastructure automation.
Our platform engineering team will rely on your close collaboration to get application instances deployed successfully fast and often. Our users will count on you for 24/7 reliability and speed of our APIs thanks to caching layers, proper database configurations and fine tuning of web and application servers.
We are adopting the latest technology solutions and use the best services money can buy in order to support releasing new features and updates regularly, and so that we are able to scale fast and adjust to our growth requirements.
You understand the value of automation and will automate almost everything, and you treat servers as cattle, not as pets. You will be given the opportunity to work in a fast moving startup where no day looks like the other, and that means that you need to be passionate about new technologies and eager to constantly learn more.
Responsibilities
Build tools to enable teams to deploy, monitor, and maintain their own environments
Help to scale applications for performance and reliability by providing operational insights and tools
Troubleshoot performance issues and work proactively with the team to avoid them
Help to increase team and system performance
Skills and experience
Excellent skills in Linux systems administration including installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring
Huge interest in working with cloud based infrastructure and virtualized environments
Proficiency in at least one high level programming or scripting language such as Python, Ruby, Perl
Experience with modern configuration management, provisioning and orchestration tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt)
Ability to troubleshoot environment and performance issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
