About this role
We are looking for a Regional Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in supporting and maintaining the infrastructure for the terminals in the Africa & Europe region. In this role, you will execute on the modernization, standardization, and security agenda of the infrastructure to ensure optimum health and operation of the systems and environment. You will get the opportunity to keep yourself updated to the industry leading latest technologies.
You will join our regionally based team, based across different countries in Europe and Africa, led by David Miramontes Cruz based in Barcelona, Spain. The location for this role is Hybrid. The role, based at the APM Terminals in the Port of Göteborg, will give you the opportunity to combine home and office working locally at the terminal.
You will have the opportunity to travel across our terminals across Africa and Europe to help deliver the projects and enablers our business needs ensuring we fulfill our Technology driven strategy.
Responsibilities
In this role, your daily tasks will include the following activities:
• Supporting and maintaining the compute and networking environment
• Implementing and executing infrastructure monitoring
• Ensuring optimum health and operation of systems and environment
• Ensuring full compliance to cyber security configurations and standards
• Providing 24/7 robust, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure services
• Ensuring secure configuration in line with APMT standards and policies
• Execution of global change programs
In addition to your daily tasks and responsibilities, you will also be accountable for:
• 24/7 availability of the terminal infrastructure within the region
• Resolving incidents within agreed SLA's
• Implementing change on environment without unplanned service interruption
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role, we believe you have in-depth knowledge and expertise on industry standard compute and network technologies and standards. Furthermore, we value experience in designing and implementing secure compute and network solutions.

• Modernizing Infrastructure
As well as experience from working with the following technologies:
• Hyper Convergent Infrastructure (Cisco Hyperflex)
• Cisco
• Azure
• Cloud platform
• VMWare and ESXi
Communication with local stake holders in Göteborg, Sweden is an essential part of this role, thus professional working proficiency in Swedish and English is mandatory.
