As an Infrastructure Engineer, you are responsible for the operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. You install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve our operating environment. You also maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring the operating environments; responding to incidents, problems and planning for growth.
What you will be doing
- Actively develop, maintain and scale our cloud based systems
- Build our network and server infrastructure
- Support other engineering teams (tooling, build system)
- Support the infrastructure and take part in on-call rotation for live systems
To catch our eye you show some of the following:
- 2+ years in a similar position and a strong knowledge in infrastructure and network
- Basic programming ability in any language
- Previous experience with containers, cloud services and configuration management tools
- Good understanding of scalable and highly available architectures
- Previous experience in an operations/infra team
- An interest in security topics
- Good communication skills and you love working as part of a team
- Willingness to act independently but responsibly
- High integrity and attention to detail
- You enjoy working with the latest technologies in a fast paced environment
Extra awesome if you have:
- Cloud platform experience: Google Cloud, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- The passion to encourage and develop a DevOps culture
- The ability to teach the team about best practices regarding security
