Infotainment Systems Architect for Vehicle infotainment
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. As INFOTAINMENT SYSTEMS ARCHITECT for VEHICLE INFOTAINMENT within the Driver Interaction & Infotainment department you will be part of the development in the early phases as well as Infotainment system architecture design in production phases. The Vehicle Infotainment section is responsible for the design and release of functions, subsystems and components.
The infotainment area covers such as: Audio Systems, Head Units & Displays, Entertainment, navigation & Speech, Tuners & Antennas and more.
As a part of our team you will define and lead the future challenges for the Infotainment system to be on the technology edge within the areas of e.g.:
• Develop a new Infotainment System and a Mid cycle action, on the existing infotainment system in parallel and be part of development of the future infotainment systems ( Research and Advanced Engineering)
• Development of software in a distributed system
• Support HMI lead for the next vehicle platform and connectivity functionality
Job profile:
• Develop an Infotainment System Architecture fulfilling strategies and requirements to be state of the art for In Vehicle Infotainment (IVI)
• Develop an Infotainment System Architecture to ensure Function, System and Component solutions between the projects.
• Responsible for system architecture solution
• Responsible for an optimized solution: cost efficiency, performance, packaging, styling, producible and fulfilling HMI attributes and Active Safety requirements etc.
• At System development ensure user expectation and ease of use of Functionality.
• Coordination of Feature team development e.g. coordination and prioritisation of common use of resources
• Support to Purchasing and Marketing with Technical competence.
• Perform benchmark within technical area
• Actively participate in the management team for "Vehicle Infotainment"
Your profile:
• Master of Science or Bachelor of Science with Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or similar experience
• Documented experience of Systems development and software and hardware design, preferably in the Infotainment area
• Analytical and leading capabilities
• Organised and structured in following up the work
• Self going with high cooperation ability
• Excellent communication skills
