Your role
As an Information Systems Security Engineer on Kockums you will work with information systems security within our submarine and surface ship projects. You will be part of long-term, complex development projects and collaborate closely with our IT Architects, system engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that information onboard our submarines and surface ships is protected against unauthorized access, manipulation, destruction, and other threats.
Our products consist of many systems, both developed in house and procured and integrated in a complex distributed environment. This position includes analytical and documentation-oriented tasks related to information systems security, with responsibility for supporting the definition, assessment, and follow-up of security requirements and technical solutions.
The main tasks will include:
* Identification, analysis, and verification of information systems security requirements
* Support to IT architects and system engineers during the product development process
* Review and assessment of technical security solutions, from an information security perspective
* Conducting information security analyses, such as vulnerability assessments and risk management
* Producing and maintaining security-related documentation, including descriptions, instructions, and policies
You will work from either one of our centrally located offices in Lund or Karlskrona. The work may involve some business travel, both within Sweden and abroad.
Your profile
We are seeking a person with great communicative skills who enjoys collaborating with various stakeholders in a cross-functional environment. You are curious, engaged, and value discussing ideas, requirements, and challenges to clarify open questions, align on next steps, and drive progress.
You approach work analytically and in a structured manner.
You are comfortable with longer projects that require persistence and thoroughness, where tasks are resolved step by step and clear documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
You will be part of an open and supportive team that values curiosity, knowledge sharing, documentation and continuous learning. Your personal qualities are an important part of our selection process. Whether you are newly graduated or have previous experience, you may be the right fit for us.
Required skills:
* A university degree or equivalent experiences in security, IT, engineering, law, or similar fields
* Knowledge and experience in information security
* Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Experience with information security standards, frameworks, or documented processes
* Experience in product development, gained through, academic studies, projects, or previous work
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
