The arena - R&D Information
The goals of the global R&D Information (RDI) organization are to enhance R&D productivity and decision making by improving the scientific and commercial information discoverability, accessibility and connectivity, regardless of source or format. This is done through partnering with IMED (Innovative Medicines & Early Development) and GMD (Global Medicines Development) teams and providing world-class expertise in Informatics and Scientific Information & Technology solutions to accelerate the drug pipeline. Focus is on developing the information platform and informatics tools to support drug project teams.

The role
We are looking for an experienced and innovative information analysts to play a key role in supporting drug projects making informed decisions. We are particularly searching for people who have significant experience in impacting scientific decisions through integration and visualization of information from multiple internal and external sources, combined with a pharmaceutical setting or a scientific domain (e.g. Biology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Translational Science, Clinical Science, Healthcare), and who has excellent customer and stakeholder management skills.

Our groups are multi-disciplinary and consist of information experts, scientists, IS experts, and project managers.
You are collaborative and delivery focused, with a proactive approach to solving information challenges both at a tactical and strategic level.
We are looking to fill two similar but not identical roles. One of them is a more pronounced Information Scientist (e.g. literature review, search in external databases, analyze and summarize). The other role also includes, apart from the Information Science competencies, additional abilities in informatics (e.g. text mining, data & information visualization, business/competitive intelligence, data mining, data modelling, and data integration).
Both positions are based in Mölndal.
Minimum requirements - Education and Experience
• Strong evidence of impacting real business and science decisions through innovative information science analysis
• Experience of the Pharmaceutical industry or one or more scientific domains (e.g. Biology, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Translational Science, Clinical Science, Healthcare, etc.)
• Ability to integrate information from multiple sources and prepare it for analysis through basic data processing, cleaning and transformation
• Ability to present analysis results via visualisation tools and techniques to facilitate interpretation and decision making (e.g. commercial tools like Spotfire, QlikView, Tableau, or techniques like D3, R/Shiny etc.)
• Excellent communicator - Good written and oral communication skills with fluent English verbally and in writing
• Great facilitation skills with the ability to work with others to achieve common objectives
• Professional, customer friendly and amenable
• High degree of Influencing and Innovation skills
Desired requirements
• PhD or MS in a Life Science or equivalent area
• Scientific domain knowledge and experience in at least one of the following therapeutics areas: Cardiovascular, Gastrointestinal, Infection, Respiratory & Inflammation
• Significant experience in pharmaceutical (or equivalent) informatics, Information Science settings
• Excellent skills in search query development of a variety of platforms and up-to-date with modern search and analysis tools
• Familiarity with key Information Science sources (both academic and commercial, e.g. Thomson Reuters -Cortellis, -Integrity, -Innovation, -One, Embase, Scopus, Citeline -TrialTrove, -PharmaProjects, -ClinicalTrials.
