Description
The client is looking for a MDM Information modeller/Data Architect. You should be a leader with a proven track record in driving data architecture with focus on MDM in complex organisations.
You will in this role provide, develop and be responsible for determining the overall data modelling standards, definitions and approaches including development of high level, enterprise data models for the objects in scope. Including oversee and assess technical and solution architecture designs, including the conceptual, physical and logical data models. You will possess an enterprise-wide view and act as an important link between the business and business processes.
The information modeller/data architect will be a key player in the success of this initiative and help to drive the MDM area forward. In this role, you will be part of a smaller team driving the MDM journey, as well as providing functional and technical guidance to the organisation. Responsibilities
Drive the work and planning for:
• Developing and determining the overall data modelling standards
• Gathering data and model the content for developing high level, enterprise data models for the objects in scope
• Oversee and assess technical and solution architecture designs, including the conceptual, physical and logical data models.
• Hands on work to create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
• Provide an enterprise-wide view and be responsible for standard development and codification across all aspects of data, information and high level designs.
• Close collaboration with the business and functions to fully understand the needs in order to proactively advise in relation to current architecture
• Analyze the business needs and proactively advise
• Guide project teams in application development from a data perspective
Mandatory competence and experience:
• have worked at least 6 years as an Information modeler or data architect
• have experience of using enterprise-level architecture modelling tools or data visualization tools, or training in data modelling, business analysis, data visualization or an architecture framework (such as TOGAF)
• have experience of master data management, metadata management and data modelling
• have worked with complex global organization
• have experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
• has proven analytical skills and problem-solving attitude
• are an excellent communicator with strong networking skills, handling many different stakeholders on different levels with a good ability to inspire others
• are a creative problem-solver with strong communication skills in English
