Position Description
The automotive industry is at the heart of an exciting transformation. In order to lower the impact of its products and services, the industry is evolving its product portfolio towards fossil free solutions. We are proud to be on this exciting journey to implement the Volvo Group long-term targets to be 100% fossil free, 100% safe and 100% more productive. To support this transformation, the electrification of the products initiates a significant decrease in production volumes for the Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), especially in the passenger cars area. As 'ICE Evolution Project Manager', your role will be to support the purchasing organization to identify, anticipate and mitigate all the risks related to this on-going transformation.

We are a team that works cross functional and support each other. !Part of the 'ICE Evolution Project' team, you will have an important role by supporting the purchasing teams to identify the risks impacting their supply partners related to the transition.
To excel in this position, you will need to be well connected with your x-functional stakeholders, with an ability to see the end-to-end perspective at company level. You will also have to manage and be part of several ecosystems, cross-departments, and cross-functions, aiming at maturing our business practices.

Your Role

As 'ICE Evolution Project Manager', you will be responsible to support the strategic activities and alignments on the ICE related segments. You will be part of one of the major challenge within the Powertrain & Fossil Free Materials purchasing team.
The 'ICE Evolution' team will support in any topic related to the ICE evolution trends:
* Segment Business Plans including ICE risk assessment and mitigation planning
* Partnership Agreements
* Supplier industrial risks & opportunities

Some key responsibilities and activities will be to:
* Drive ICE Evolution Projects among the ICE purchasing segments
* Support segment leaders by deploying the ICE Evolution methodology on their segments
* Coordinate, facilitate work sessions & help with methodology
* Perform market modellings
* Challenge & provide an outside perspective to support the Segment Leaders
* Develop innovative contract package to support the mitigation plans
* Be the representative person of the ICE Evolution project for one Business Area
* Build a global overview of the outputs from the different deep-dive sessions on different segments, draw global strategies
