Since 2013 CEVT has grown rapidly and now keeps some 2000 people busy. China Euro Vehicle Technology AB is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group.
With the current refinement level of vehicles - Ride Comfort and NVH are becoming increasingly important attributes in the development of new vehicles and platforms. These attributes are also market dependent.
Major change to vehicle usage in the future through electrification is one example, but also when vehicles are running in Autonomous Driving mode. When the vehicles will run partly or completely in Autonomous Driving mode it will also change how the driver and the passengers perceive the Ride Comfort and NVH.
As an industrial PhD, you will be employed by the CEVT Vehicle Integration team and connected to Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Division Design & Human Factors and Division of Applied Acoustics, as a full-time PhD student. You will report to Erik Preihs at CEVT AB, and be scientific supervised by Anna-Lisa Osvalder, Professor in Human-Machine Systems at Chalmers, who also is responsible for your Ph.D education.
In this Industrial PhD project CEVT wants to cover the two specific technical areas, Ride Comfort and NVH, as they are strongly related regarding how the occupants in the vehicle perceive them as well as technically in the development process. As an industrial PhD you will develop methodologies to increase CEVT's knowhow in the area of Ride Comfort and NVH.
The focus in this project is on improving the understanding of how future demands will change the requirements and perception of Ride in combination with the new NVH levels and techniques that need to be developed due to new driving habits and behaviors. The objective is to deepen the knowledge about the opportunities of large-scale simulation models to influence the early design phase as well as making a technology roadmap to further explore opportunities.
