What will you do?
As an industrial designer you will work in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with both our mechanical and design engineers. You will develop and execute design concepts for digi-physical solutions for our customers within various different industries, taking the user-centric perspective to create design solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. You will also create and work with digital and physical prototypes, moving between various forms of concepts, simulations, prototypes formats etc.
At Knightec, we challenge ourselves by taking on larger roles in projects by working together in teams. This starts and ends with communication, where we work both with projects at our clients' sites as well as in-house.
Who are you?
As a person you are collaborative, self-driven, and see the value of taking in various stakeholders perspectives. With a test and learn mindset, you are curious to explore and gain new knowledge. Contributing to the team effort is at your priority, while also driving your own work forward. We believe you have an interesting portfolio of projects from university courses and job experiences as well as have worked for a couple of years gaining experience through assignments or personal projects. You enjoy creating and working with physical prototypes and have knowledge of the design process and user-centric perspective towards product development.
We also believe you have:
• Bachelor or master degree in Industrial design, design engineering or similar
• Good knowledge in one or more CAD systems
• Experience using visualizations tools such as Figma, Illustrator or Sketchbook
• Experience and good knowledge of HMI designs for digi-physical solutions, with emphasis on the physical.
• Good communication skills in English and Swedish
