Job summary
As an industrial designer you will be part of our team acting as bridge between design and engineering as well as leading and initiating projects and collaborations. You will work with visualisation, conceptualisation, and content creation connected to the projects and the company. Your role will also include practical work as you will take part in running trials in our pilot and prototype lab. Our focus is renewable and/or recycled mainly fibre-based materials and we collaborate with partners and customers in different branches like textile, construction, and packaging.
Main tasks
• Concept and product development, product design in own projects as well as supporting colleagues in other projects
• Visualisation, graphics, and photo connected to projects, own and others
• Overall responsibility for design development, including processes and methodologies
• Hands-on development work in our pilot and prototype lab
• Plan, run, document and follow up own projects and support other project managers with your expertise
• Actively contribute in developing infrastructure and capabilities in our lab
• Participate in sales and development of new collaborations
Skills and characteristics
As a person, you like to collaborate and find solutions where others see problems. You are curious and happy to share your experiences, and at the same time want to learn from others. You are motivated to work in a small fast-growing company and enjoy having a varied job where you one day act as a support for applied experiments in our lab, and the next day develop collaborations with key partners or lead innovation projects. It is essential that you have a strong technical interest. You are purpose-driven and have a passion for sustainability.
Qualifications
• Educational background with a Bachelor or Master in industrial design or equivalent, or acquired knowledge through work experience
• Documented professional experience from material/product development and/or material/product design with a focus on bridging engineering and design
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Swedish is an advantage
• Documented experience from using software in the following applications: 1. Product development, e.g. Autocad, SolidWorks or other equivalent program, and 2. Graphics, e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or other equivalent program
• Skills and experiences from project management and projects connected to applied development of sustainable materials as well as networks is a plus
You are result-oriented, reliable and have good communicative and social skills. You are proactive, possess the ability to take initiatives and enjoy working both independently and in teams. You enjoy working in a young and fast-moving organization where co-learning and knowledge sharing is key to success.
