Responsible for the daily operational tasks in regards to the incident handling. The Incident Coordinator will act as the interface between the Customer Service and the IT departments. Further purpose of the role will be to transfer technical knowledge to the CSG department and increase the customer focus in the technical departments. Finally, the Incident Coordinator will assist the incident manager in various tasks and projects and act as stand-in for the Incident Manager during out-of-business hours.
Main tasks
The main focus of the incident coordinator will be the coordination of incidents in order to ensure that normal service operation is restored as quickly as possible. This will be achieved through standard, best practice, incident handling. The Incident Coordinator will be coordinating the incident handling for issues occurring in our technical infrastructure.
The Incident Coordinator will report directly to the Section Head, but cooperation with the Incident Manager and to the Team Coordinators is hugely important for the success of this role. Incident tasks and daily operations will be delegated by the Incident Manager and Team Coordinators. Furthermore, the Incident Coordinator will be involved with generating weekly and monthly incident reports and availability reports. One further requirement is to document knowledge gained and ensure that the whole 2nd line team will benefit from it.
