We are now recruiting a scientist to an in vivo data informatics project at the Department of R&D Information, AstraZeneca, Mölndal. Preferred start is as soon as possible. Initial duration of the positions is 6 months with possibility to be extended.
In this role you will use your IT skills to transfer internal in vivo data present in various formats to a novel in vivo data store system common to different disease areas within AstraZeneca. Your scientific understanding, preferentially within the in vivo field, is crucial as the work is performed in close collaboration with experimental scientists. Current data commonly resides in Excel templates of various formats and the practical work involves over-look changes needed to the template and ways to map the data so it can be pulled into the single unified in vivo data store. Training on the in vivo data store system will be provided.
Required Qualifications:
We are looking for scientists with interdisciplinary skills within in vivo biology, IT and data management.
• Biomedical background, preferably MSc or PhD, with experience in in vivo biology
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel with experience of VBA for Excel.
• Proven professional experience of basic computational technologies including scripting (e.g. Perl, Python, Knime, Pipeline Pilot etc.)
• Excellent social, communication and collaborative skills
• Flexibility in adjusting to changing environment and project needs.
• Analytical, accurate and problem solving attitude
• Excellent English is required, both spoken and in writing and you should be comfortable to work in an international environment
