We build and strengthen the IKEA brand by offering a high-quality experience, by interacting with people in the context of life at home, home furnishing and design as well as inviting people behind the scenes of IKEA, giving a more intimate experience of the brand.

Besides our public museum we also have a key assignment within our Archive Collection organisation to safeguard, structure and share IKEA heritage and make it accessible for today 's business development needs and for future generations.

We are now looking for an Image- Film specialist to join the Archive Collection team at IKEA Museum in Älmhult. We are growing and building an organization to be ready for a new challenging assignment and we need you!

Job Description
As an Image Film Specialist you will conduct active collection management in a professional manner - identifying, inspecting, categorizes and managing our image film material. You will also provide image- film services, compile and deliver to both internal and external stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will be: Be responsible for digitalise historical images and films and make them searchable and accessible.
Responsible for incoming requests and deliveries for images and films
Responsible for scanning images and documents and connect physical image object with digital copy.
Contribute in archive and collection projects
Support with handling internal and external requests of our historical documents
Initiate usage of historical images in different media e.g. books, exhibitions and others.
Be the expert for quality aspects when exposing historical images and films.
Qualifications

Other relevant qualifications: Relevant professional experience and/or comparable education within the field.
Understanding of how to structure and work with historical documents and collection management
Good knowledge about how to treat historical documents of different kinds - paper, photos, films and recorded sound.
Deep knowledge of possibilities and limitations of image and film technology.
Good knowledge of how to digitize historical documents, images and films.
Driven and have the ability to build trustful relationships
Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Additional Information
This position is full-time assignment (40 hours per week), starting as soon as possible. You will be located in Älmhult, Sweden and report to the Teamleader Archive Collection at IKEA Museum.
