Our name is IKEA Communications, or ICOM as most people call us. We're the IKEA communication partner and create everything from the IKEA website to the annual IKEA catalogue, brochures, assembly instructions and motion media. You'll find us a stone's throw from the first IKEA store, in Älmhult Sweden.
IKEA's websites and digital media inspire hundreds of millions of IKEA customers all over the world. IKEA Communications is responsible for designing and help developing the majority of these sites and platforms. It's our task to make them interesting, up to date and easy to use. To keep up with demand, we need to strengthen our organization. Our web assignment is growing fast and with it our need for skilled and motivated co-workers. We are now looking for new colleagues who want to contribute to IKEA.com.
We are looking for a web analyst to strengthen our web team. As a web analyst you are contributing with analyzing and evaluating the user traffic at the ikea.com website.
For this position it's important that you have a passion for analyzing the web and the people populating it. You also need to understand the visitors and why they interact with the ikea.com site the way they do in order to improve the user experience. You need to have good communication skills, patience and passion for the web. IKEA is a world wide organization. A good understanding of different cultures is therefore of most importance to be able to analyze the traffic data in an objective way.
You will work closely with the web developers, as the information gathered by you as a web analyst is used to improve the website in its functionality and form. It's therefore of most importance that the information gathered is secured and accurate.
We use KPI as an instrument in measuring and analyzing the traffic on the site.
We want you to have an academic education in behavior science, web/interaction design or equivalent. You don't need a lot of experience in the field of web analyzing. The most important thing is that you have a true interest in improving and analyzing the web. Experience in the web analyzing tool Omniture SiteCatalyst or similar configured for a large web site is qualifying.
