Our name is IKEA Communications, or ICOM as most people call us. We're the IKEA communication partner and create everything from the IKEA website to the annual IKEA catalogue, brochures, assembly instructions and motion media. You'll find us a stone's throw from the first IKEA store, in Älmhult Sweden.
IKEA's websites and digital media inspire hundreds of millions of IKEA customers all over the world. IKEA Communications is responsible for designing and help developing the majority of these sites and platforms. It's our task to make them interesting, up to date and easy to use. To keep up with demand, we need to strengthen our organization. Our web assignment is growing fast and with it our need for skilled and motivated co-workers. We are looking for a Search engine optimizer to strengthen our web team. As an SEO Specialist you will contribute to get the IKEA website more search engine friendly. Broken up, this can be summed up within these sentences:
• Using web tools to track site traffic, rankings, and ultimately sales.
• Identify and implement strategies for increasing site traffic through organic search listings.
• Research and resolve HTML code and content, link architecture and navigation issues
• Advice in layout of web pages to achieve optimal SEO.
• Continually monitoring organic search rankings to increase traffic and sales
• Analyze website strategies and translating qualitative or anecdotal data into recommendations and tactics for revising the strategies
• Research keywords using Google, WordTracker and internal tools
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience.
• Experience of internet marketing and SEO
• Knowledge of website analytics and conversion rate optimization
• Experience in generating qualified website traffic and inbound web leads
• Great talent for developing engaging, unique, and SEO friendly marketing copy
• Strong website usability and content organization skills
• Knowledge and understanding about the functioning and behavior of various search engines
• Knowledge of keyword driven content and find the top keywords and implement in the web copy and the links.
• Knowledge of navigation structure of websites
• Good knowledge of semantic and standards-compliant HTML & CSS
• Experience in using Content Management Systems
