This is what you will do
As an ignition system engineer, you are deeply involved in the development of our SI engines. You are the technical interface between suppliers and projects and have a holistic approach to system design with clear understanding of customer demands. Your task is to propose the best possible technical solution for the ignition system in different engine projects. Our main project targets are within technical performance, emissions, reliability, lead time and cost. You will be deeply involved in starting up a new technology competence area within Volvo Penta.
Our team
We, your 18 hopefully soon to be colleagues at the department Systems & Technology in Gothenburg are responsible for the development of performance related systems for industrial and marine propulsion system. The SI system is one of these systems. In close cooperation with other functions and colleagues within Volvo Penta we make sure, the development of our future products is in line with customer needs. We believe, and you should do as well, the way of reaching there is teamwork. Moreover, having fun at work.
This probably defines you
We believe that you have both the competence and personality that will make a difference in our organisation. We are looking for a person interested in combustion engines development tasks in general, but preferably towards SI system. You have ambitions and energy to develop yourself and the company in a way that will make a difference in our technical solutions. Experience from SI system development is necessary for this role.
As a person, you enjoy working in a team and have the ability, to inspire your team colleagues and feeling engaged by goal settings. Since the job consists of an extensive net of contacts both internally and externally, your networking skills should be very good and prioritized.
Your CV should contain listed qualifications in academic degrees.
You have easy to create new contacts
A holistic view
Good skills in English and Swedish
Swedish driver license.
Experience from ignition system design for internal combustion engines is necessary, more of system competence rather than detailed competence
