Opportunity in Sweden
IdentiGEN has successfully launched a series of traceability initiatives in various markets to validate the provenance of meat products. In Ireland, a national 'DNA Certified' programme was introduced to combat product mislabelling and the high volume of foreign meat being sold under the Irish banner. This DNA traceability initiative resulted in Irish farmers obtaining a higher price for their livestock, local processors being able to compete on price with 'rogue manufacturers', and Irish pork exports increasing to record levels. Today, Irish supermarkets are now marketing DNA TraceBack in store to reassure shoppers on the authenticity and provenance of locally produced products.
DNA TraceBack is used by various international grocery retailers, processors and producers to validate the provenance and improve the quality of beef and pork products. IdentiGEN's commercial team believes there is a need for DNA TraceBack technology in Sweden.
Consulting Opportunity & Candidate Credentials:
IdentiGEN is seeking to employ the services of a local Swedish based meat industry sales representative.
The candidate should have previous executive sales experience, be fluent in Swedish, English (and possibly Finnish) and a proven record of working with meat industry stakeholders at a senior level such as:
Swedish beef and pork processors
Grocery Retailers
Farming and Producer Groups
Swedish Foodservice Companies
The candidate may also have had senior dealings or previously worked for companies such as:
HK Scan
KLS Ugglarps
Dalsjofors Slakteri
Dafgard
ICA
COOP
LRF (Federation of Swedish Farmers)
Svensk Kott
The role would be ideally suited to a semi-retired meat industry executive or a sales consultant with demonstrable contact base within the meat processing and retail sectors.
Scope of Work:
The Sales Consultant will be required to conduct the following work on behalf of IdentiGEN:
• work closely with existing and prospective IdentiGEN customers in Sweden
• foster successful relationships throughout the sales process
• schedule meetings with target retail, meat processing and foodservice companies
• gather market and customer information and feedback to IdentiGEN commercial team
• follow up on new business opportunities
