BNEW SAN Lab Operations provides world class lab infrastructure, networks and HW Services to the R&D organizations. Through our standardized solutions and services, we enable our stakeholders to configure and deploy design and test environments. We provide engineering IT environments supporting more than 23 000 R&D engineers and operate ~50 000 square meters of labs at our sites in Lindholmen, Linköping, Lund and Stockholm in Sweden and globally through the sites in Aachen, Athlone, Budapest, China, Genoa, Jorvas, Ottawa, Pagani and Piscataway.
We are now looking for an ICT RF Engineer for the Lab Operations unit in Stockholm. We are a team with a wide range of competence that together supports our Research & Development (R&D) organization with configuration and fix of the tools and the RF environment to facilitate for the R&D organization to develop the mobile network. Within the team we work together with good team spirit, but we also have our different expertise- and responsibility areas. You will interact with internal stakeholders to define and provide solutions in the RF area and work with continuous improvement of the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner. What you will do
Verify of Node configuration from Cell and Frequency Planning point of view
Verify all the RF connections in the Test Setups
Supervise CCN servers and GPS signal
Create of Cell and Frequency plan for the Test setups
Passive RF Component testing
EMF Measurements in time intervals
Create User documentation related to Test setups
Co-ordinate with Multi-functional Teams
Provide CCN functionality and usage Training to Testers
RF interference Analysis and Troubleshooting
Provide RF related suggestions for Test setup builds
You will bring
Education: Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
Min. years of experience: 2-4 years
Demonstrated ability: Ericsson Radio Products and Radio Frequency management
Experience from IT and/or test environment with HW focus
Knowledge about architectural of RAN and radio test environment
Knowledge about IT and test processes, tools and infrastructure
Integration, configuration of RF products/solution and validation of products/solutions in different network environments
SW Management (licensing, Upgrade, Back-up)
Networking knowledge such as configuring specific equipment such as CCN
Equipment Management both for Ericsson and external vendors
Case handling for incidents and support request
Administration and documenting in systems
Desirable to have general knowledge of Ericsson's various tools and databases
Understand RF leakage and how it can affect lab network
Desirable to have knowledge of different programming languages, including those used in scripts, and this gives the opportunity for development
RF Knowledge and Experience of 2G/3G/LTE/NR Technologies
Experience in the use of test equipment such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Signal Generator, PIM Analyzer etc
Experience in working with RF Coax systems, RF Link budget Calculation, RF Systems related measurements and fix
Familiar with Agile and lean methodology
Excellent written and oral communications skills in English
