We are now looking for a Research Engineer to build and transfer technology competence to ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson by:
Contributing to Ericsson technology strategy
Developing novel concepts, solutions, and algorithms
Introducing the solutions into product development
Presenting prototypes, concept demonstrations and publications.
You will
Perform, document, and communicate research studies, measurements, or computer simulations.
Create new technical solutions and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
Represent Ericsson in external fora such as university collaborations, and customer meetings
Supervise and coach other researchers
Develop Research strategies
Develop evaluation tools, demonstrators, or testbeds
Innovate
To be successful in the role you must have
The minimum requirement for the ideal candidate is MS in Electrical Engineering or similar with 3+ years of experience or a PhD in RF or Analog integrated circuit design in CMOS/BiCMOS/FinFet.
Deep understanding of data converter architectures, design, and tradeoffs, both in devices and base stations.
Solid understanding in FinFET technology and device properties.
Hands-on experience in designing mixed signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, comparators, and S/H as well as other analog circuits.
A detailed understanding of the physical layout requirement and ability to perform critical layouts as well as post-layout simulation.
Experience in system level simulations (Matlab, Simulink).
Experience in lab-validation through measurements.
Solid understanding on IC design CAD tools and simulators such as Cadence, Mentor, ADS, Spectre, Calibre, Momentum, HFSS as well as modelling using Matlab, Simulink, Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, or similar.
Digital design competence (RTL coding, place and route, digital backend) a strong plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Motivated to carry out a wide variety of tasks with clear communication and presentation skills in a dynamic team environment
Great teammate
Skills in supervising master thesis students and Researchers
Ability to build Ericsson Internal and external contact network
