SSHL offers a wide range of national Swedish programmes (grundskola, gymnasium), as well as the IB MYP and Diploma programmes.
Due to the promotion of the current IB DP Coordinator to a senior leadership position, SSHL is now seeking an outstanding educator and curriculum leader to undertake the position of IB Diploma Coordinator. SSHL is one of Sweden?s longest established IB World Schools, first delivering the Diploma Programme over thirty years ago. With classes that are now oversubscribed, this is an exciting time to join IB programme at the school. Despite not being a selective programme, Diploma grades from the school are consistently above world average and our capacity to get the best out of all of our candidates is proven.
The successful candidate will be employed 100%, with 50% teaching within the Diploma Programme (maybe including MYP5 in relevant cases) and 50% time to undertake the role of Diploma Coordinator. The job description of the IB coordinator at SSHL is currently being reviewed, but for guidance on the nature and expectations of the role can be found on the IBO website. They will work closely with the Vice Principal with responsibility for the IB Continuum and also the vastly experienced MYP Coordinator within the school. While experience as an IB coordinator is advantageous, it is not essential if the candidate has an excellent working knowledge of the Diploma Programme and has experience teaching within it.
