Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
DESCRIPTION:
IB Diploma Coordinator 50% - up to 100% in combination with teaching (depending on the subject)
REPORTS TO: Principal
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Coordinator is responsible for the following:
• Be responsible for the overall coordination of the school's IB DP program
(Grades 11-12): in collaboration with the Secondary School Principal.
• Responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation and development of the program together with Heads of Department and Secondary School Principal.
• Maintenance of all relevant documentation in relation to the DP
• Supporting teachers in all facets of the operation and organisation of the DP.
• Ensure that teachers are informed about and follow IB regulations
• Cooperate with the MYP and IPC- coordinators to ensure a progression within the programmes
• Ensure that the assessment and reporting is according to IB DP standards
• Coordinating the Extended Essay including allocation of supervisors
• Coordinating Mock Exams Coordinating Oral and Written "Final exams": Ensuring that Final Exams are sent to external examiners immediately after each examination according to the regulations of the IBO.
• Ensure that students in Grade 12 are informed of their examination results immediately on their publication by IBO.
• Assist students in their contacts with IBO, e.g. with requests for a remarking of a final examination.
• Inform parents about the programme
• Inform students about the programme
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
Qualifications, Attributes and Experience the teacher is expected to have:
• Teaching qualifications. (essential)
• Qualifications in Education.
• Experience as a teacher.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to establish rapport with adults and students.
• The ability to work effectively in a team
• The ability to show initiative and work independently.
It is essential for the successful applicant to have a working knowledge/experience of the IB Diploma Programme. Experience working with students from diverse cultures and countries would be an advantage.
Övriga villkor:
2 year position-50-100%
It is preferable that the DP coordinator has teaching responsibilities for at least one course in Grades 11-12. This teaching is in addition to the 50% time allocation for the role of Coordinator.
