ABB:s business for crane systems helps ports, shipping companies, power plants and the steel mills to transfer containers, bulk materials and steel products in a reliable, quick and cost efficient way. Cranes is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for motion control of container cranes, bulk cranes and steel mill cranes. We are the leading supplier of crane systems worldwide.
Challenge: As HW&SW Developer you will have varying job tasks with focus on integrated real-time software. You will come up with methods for quality assurance as well as R&D. In addition you will develop tools for analysis aimed at for example production cranes, cycle time and optimization. In addition, evaluation, commissioning and troubleshooting of cranes located all over the world will be parts of your job. Therefore business trips will form a natural part of your everyday. Other tasks of yours will be implementation of automated voice recognition and control algorithms. Count on an interesting challenge, which involves individual responsibility as well as collaboration with others. Requirements: You have a degree in power electronics, systems or computer science or equivalent. That you are familiar with integrated real-time software and to master C/C++ is a must. You are familiar with design, implementation and testing, and object orientation in embedded systems. Moreover, you master English in speech and writing. If you have additional language skills this is a great advantage. As a person you are curious and strive to always do your best. You have a holistic approach and willingness to understand how different parts fit together. Furthermore, you are a resourceful and communicative team player who cooperate well with others and seek continuous improvement.
