The Infotainment department is responsible for the specification, developing and verifying systems and components within the infotainment area. You will work with the latest technology in order to reach the future characteristics and requirements in a very exciting field. The Head Unit Management group is responsible for development of Infotainment Head Unit. The group consist of HW responsible, SW responsible and Project Managers, and contains a growing set of functionality and which in production today includes audio/video, navigation, connectivity, Bluetooth, speech control, radio (Analogue, Digital and Satellite radio systems) and media players (CD, DVD, USB, AUX).
As HW Responsible Infotainment you will be part of a cross functional team with project manager, SW specialists and several functional/system designers. You will be responsible for securing quality of the product by leading design reviews and support quality organisations. You will also set up test plans, review test results, handle specifications, discuss HW design and test results with experts within the company and follow-up with suppliers. Deep dives into electronics HW is also part of the assignment. You will work closely with the suppliers of the Head Units and be part of an international team to secure delivery of Head Units. Some travel will be required in this position.
Main responsibilities
• Lead design reviews by actively reviewing HW design at our suppliers
• Specification of new HW design
• Support the quality departments securing the quality of the Head Unit
• Set up tests, analyse test results and lead the follow up with suppliers
• Work in close cooperation with suppliers throughout the design- and test phases of the Head Unit development cycle
Required qualifications
• At least a B.Sc. grade within mechanics, physics, electrical or a similar education/experience
• Great technical interest and documented experience from HW design
• Fluency in English, spoken and written
• Driver's license (B)
• Experience from the automotive business is meritorious
