At Research & Development you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. The section Connected Infotainment, at the Electrical unit is responsible for all work with Connected Car. The group Connectivity Components, are responsible for the ECU's in the car that makes it possible to Connect the Car to the customer, it includes functions as In-Car apps, Mobile apps, Software download, Car play and Telematics.
As Hardware Responsible Connectivity Component within the group you are responsible for the in-time delivery of the ECU content, which is a result of deep discussions and collaborations with Supplier, Attribute- and Function Owners and also the SW- and other HW-responsible in the group. You establish and develop relationships with representatives and stakeholders from many areas of the vehicle meaning you will therefore build and maintain a wide personal network within Volvo Car.
Main responsibilities
• Lead the HW work and assure that the deliveries are done in time and according to the order agreed upon
• Take lead on HW discussions, both internal and external regarding project status, design, changes etc
• Responsible to evaluate supplier from HW view for next system solution
• Main contact to supplier regarding HW issues
• Responsible for cost optimisations during project and during maintenance
• Be in head of new technologies regarding LTE/4G/WiFi
Required qualifications
• BSc in engineering
• Driving license B
• Telematic, Antenna and Connectivity experience
• 4G, WiFi experience
• Experience within HW design and component development
• Automotive experience
• Worked in projects together with suppliers
• Autosar knowledge
