About us
You will be part of a passionate team at Propulsion Energy Systems! The company target is to electrify 10% of the cars in 2020 and to have 1 million electrified cars on the road in 2025.
Join us as HW Design Engineer within the Charging team. We are responsible for the development of competitive charging solutions for on-board charger and DC/DC. The team is the core competence centre in Northern Europe in regards to Charging solutions. The on-board charger (OBC) is essential for electrified vehicles, it holds the functionality to charge the traction battery from the grid, and it is for sure of highest importance in a pure electric vehicle. Both AC- and DC-charging are in current projects and wireless charging is already around the corner.
The DC/DCs converts energy from the traction battery to the low voltage system for suppling all the 12/48V power consumers in the car. As a HW Design Engineer, you will work alongside with suppliers in order to bring new solutions for OBCs and DC/DC to market utilizing the latest technology in a fast paced and international working environment. The role also includes hands on testing and troubleshooting of OBCs and DCDCs. You will be working with advanced engineering projects in close cooperation with other engineering departments.
What you will do
* Review and support the development of design of electrical HW components, e.g. OBCs and DC/DCs
* Hands on work with power electronic and EMC
* Balance and optimize electrical HW design against electrical requirements
* Manage supplier contacts concerning timing, technology and cost
You and your skills
It is meritorious if you have good insight in agile development.
* MSc degree in Electrical engineering or similar
* Experience working as an electrical design engineer
* Familiar with design and analysis of power conversion topologies
* Familiar with power semiconductors: MOSFETs, IGBTs, etc
* Driver's license (B)
