Control Products is a business unit within ABB's Electrification Products division that has global responsibility for the development and manufacture of large contactors, pilot devices, soft starters, arc fault protection and machine safety products and solutions. The unit serves customers in all industries, such as OEM, industry, distribution, wholesalers and consultants worldwide.Our team is located in Västerås and consists of a total of 15 people, five of whom work with hardware design.TasksDo you want to be part of future development projects? As our new problem solver and colleague you will be part of a cross-functional project team with responsibility for design of analogue and digital electronics for communication, measurement and control. To identify customer requirements and ensure that the right products are developed, we work closely with customers as well as our sales companies around the world.Together with colleagues, you will develop new products, maintain and improve existing ones and offer some technical support to customers. We work with new designs as well as improve existing electronics by implementing new features or accessories. The products we work with are softstarters, contactors and arc guard systems.RequirementsYou are an experienced hardware designer and have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics. We expect you to have knowledge of IPC standard for the production of PCB, material declarations, RoHS directive, Reach regulation and 3TG. You should have a strong will to learn new things and grow together with your colleagues. Previous work has made you familiar with the development process within electronics design for embedded systems.To succeed in the role you need to have a good knowledge in English and the ability to work on your own and together with team. In addition, you should be result focused and with good cooperation skills.
