Who we are
Climate system section is responsible for climate development within Volvo Car Group. The section is part of Vehicle hardware unit within Volvo Car's R&D division (Product & Quality). The HVAC & Air Distribution group has today 24 employees divided into three main teams, HVAC, Air Distribution and Air Quality systems. We have high diversity in our group, consisting of different ages, backgrounds and experiences with open dialoges and good fellowship among the teams. Now we are looking for a new collegue to complement us and bring additional value to the group.
We are currently on the exciting transition journey into Agile way of working, therefore it is important for us to be adoptable on changes and show initiative to bring value and make changes happen. We are taking on the ownership for our ART within solution train, focusing on delivering the products with high quality.
What we offer
As HVAC Design Engineer you will bring design engineering competence to the Agile development team and support the team with CAD design work needed in all phases. As a part of a development team you will together with other team members, Scrum Master and Product owner decide and prioritize tasks and together make sure to deliver the scope.
The work is very cross-functional with many contacts, both within and outside Volvo Cars and furthermore you will be constantly part of an international environment. With the team you will continuously review the team competence to discuss how to use the team in the best way to deliver the team scope of work.

You and your skills
We believe you have completed at least B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering or similar and have relevant working experience with design engineering. As we are using Catia V5, documented experiences using this tool, is a must to take on this role.
If you have knowledge and experiences about how to work in an Agile team is meritorious. If you have previous experience working in automotive industry, and more specifically with Climate systems, is strongly appreciated. Same goes for designing experiences with plastic.
You need to be fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driving license "B" valid in Sweden.
