hela Sverige Responsibilities range from taking care of your own team of 14 dogs, cleaning yards, preparing sleds, preparing coffee/tea, helping out with trails, dressing guests and taking care of our dressing room, as well as taking guests out on the ride of their lives!
The job also involves a lot of driving minibus to transfer guests. This means that experience driving in winter conditions is a must!
Please note that the work is tough, the environment is rough and it is very isolated! Its an amazing lifestyle.. not so much a job! flexibility, openness, good sense of humour and common sense are essential traits to have to survive up here!!
We have an open position for 1 person starting in august/september 2017. The candidate must be between 25 and 35 years of age. Have some experience within the tourism industry;ie. be able to cope with people from all walks of life in a professional and friendly manner, be able to take control and speak in front of large groups of people. The candidate should have knowledge of dog behaviour and dog care.

It is essential to be flexible as jobs come up all the time at very last minute warnings...You need to be enthusiastic, open minded, have a good sense of humour and understand how to survive in cold climates! This job is NOT FOR DREAMERS! Its nice to imagine standing on a sled watching northern lights.... which of course happens as well but its long hours, hard work and cold conditions!
Our kennel is located in the wilderness. All candidates have the possibility to stay and live at the kennel. Our kennel has apprx 80 dogs. And we also live with our family at the kennel. This means that it is important to find the right candidate to live here as they will become very close with everyone living here. We usually have 3 guides that work for the whole season. So getting along is essential. You would get your own room.
We also have a guide room as communal area where you have running water and cooking facilities. As well as shower and toilet.

We have a 2 week trial period and after that we offer seasonal positions.
