We are looking for a Human Rights Expert, having knowledge about the subject of Human Rights, Risk Assessment, Mitigation and Remedy framework, able to evaluate Likelihood and Severity of Human Rights across different parts of value chain. Experience within this area, within any industry, is important.

Job Description
As a Human Rights Expert, your role is to bring intel, knowledge and contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable practices within an organization with the lens of Human Rights Due Diligence. Your objective will be to evaluate Risks to people in our value chain and work with people within functions and teams to set mitigation plans and manage risks thus paving the way for creating positive impact for people, thus keeping company's goal of meeting legislations and contributing to a fair and equal agenda.
Responsibilities:
Co-Create Human Rights Strategies:
Collaborate with key stakeholders internally to develop Human Rights strategies and goals aligned with organizational objectives within each function and brand.
Provide tools and support for the organization towards mitigation and access to remedy.
Facilitate dialogue to ensure that tools can be used. Work with functions to follow up, get input, ideas, insights and identifying areas to advance Human Rights initiatives with a clear business case.

Connect Stakeholders:
Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies.
Foster partnerships and collaborations to leverage resources, knowledge, and best practices.
Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure Human Rights agenda is integrated across the organization.

Catalyze Projects:
Identify opportunities and initiate projects that promote Human Rights especially in the area of commodities/ raw materials and feedstock.
Ability to conduct Human Rights risk assessment and Impact assessment and provide visibility to the organization to mitigate and access to remedy.
Develop business cases, secure funding, and gain necessary approvals to drive project implementation.

Integrate Sustainable Practices:
Provide knowledge, guidance and support to work on Mitigation and Remedy on Human Rights risks and impacts.
Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness and build capacity on Human Rights.
Follow up and monitor progress by measurable indicators thus reducing risks over a period of time.

Stay Informed and Innovate:
Stay updated on emerging trends, regulations, and tools related to sustainability.
Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in the area of Human Rights
Participate in conferences, workshops, and industry forums to share knowledge and contribute to the broader sustainability community.

Qualifications
Preferable master's degree in sustainability/legal, social science, business, or a related field
Proven experience in the area of Human Rights management, including strategy development, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex sustainability challenges and develop practical solutions.
Familiarity with relevant sustainability standards, certifications, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, ISO 14001, LEED).
Ability to provide clarity thus creating influence and drive change within an organization.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize based on UN Guiding principles.
