Job description
N-O-S is in an expansive phase and is now looking for a Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality, HSSE(Q) Coordinator to strengthen our team. We are looking for someone with a modern and innovative mindset who is passionate about quality systems, high safety focus and has a keen interest in environmental management.
The HSSE Coordinator will be accountable for maintaining and developing the company quality management system. In the coming year, N-O-S plans to integrate the ISO system into the ISM system. The HSSE Coordinator will act as the project leader during the integration processes.

Tasks
• In close cooperation with the HSSE Manager, provide professional support, advice and train the organization in systems and procedures related to health, safety, security, environment and quality.
• Implement and work to continuously improve the HSSE-Q system in the company
• Administrate and develop the company Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS) to be accurate and effective for its purpose.
• Monitor, perform and arrange for internal and external audits and inspections according to scope of company certification.
• Follow-up Quality/ISM/MLC inspections from external/internal parties.
• Gather input and prepare all type of company HSSE reporting, both external and internally.
• Review and provide feedback to company commercial department on client HSSE requirements in bidding phase.
• Participate in client HSSE meetings.
• Work with assessing and monitor the company environmental impact.
• Back up for HSSE Manager acting as Deputy - Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Company Security Officer (CSO). Be a part of the Company Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Your profile
• The ideal candidate has a university degree with 2-3 years of experience of working with quality systems (ISO9001, 14001 and 18001), ISM administration or similar experience valuable for the position. General knowledge of the shipping industry is a merit.
• Good knowledge of modern risk management systems.
• Keen attention to detail, effective and highly organized.
• Skills in performing workshops and presentations in a pedagogic manner
• To thrive in this position you also need to enjoy collaborating with your colleagues and be fluent in both English and in a Scandinavian language.
This position is a permanent employment. You will be based at our Gothenburg office and report directly to the HSSE Manager. Travels to our vessels, customers and subsidiaries will be an important part of your role and is estimated to approximately 1 week per month. You will share the HSSE 24- hrs on call duty with the HSSE Manager.
