hela Sverige Seize the opportunity to take on an expert role within Sustainability Affairs. Your main mission will be to contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in the HVDC organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. You will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. You will also facilitate delivery of support from the Center of Expertise (CoE) and ensure effective risk management through HSE excellence along ABB's value chain.
As HSE site specialist you will be working in various environment and with many stakeholders, internal and external, global and local. The role includes coaching and supporting the organization in sustainability related matters. Developing and managing HSE process is also vital part of your work. Not to mention conducting trainings and audits for different part of organization and proactive work such as analyzing statistics, initiating and leading improvement projects.
We are looking for a team player, who takes initiative and looks for opportunities. To be suitable for this role, you hold a University degree together with 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from international company. We also expect you to have audit and training related competence. Fluency in English is required, while Swedish language is meriting. On a personal level you have an open mindset and analytical thinking. In addition you have great communication and collaboration skills and you value teamwork highly.
You will be part of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) - a business unit within the Power Grids division. ABB's HVDC unit in Ludvika develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
HVDC LightTM was developed by ABB and is in hot demand on the market today. The technology is particularly suitable for power systems where overhead power lines cannot be built or where power systems need boosting. HVDC Light is also used to connect offshore structures such as platforms and wind farms and offers a good answer to today's demand for environment friendly solutions.
