This position reports to
Business Manager - E2E
Your role and responsibilities
Support line managers and employees in the implementation of policies, standards, programs, and practices in their assigned area of responsibility.
• Serves as the primary HSE interface within their assigned area of responsibility and cultivates a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE.
• Assists the line managers and supervisors in their respective organization in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment, as per local HSE law and ABB management requirements.
• Ensures that HSE capabilities are optimized and aligned to standards, processes, guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively.
• Oversees HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented.
• Ensures the HSE incidents are reported to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions.
• Drives behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
• Embeds an exemplary health and safety culture and a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization.
• Reports HSE performance and progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required.
• Drives HSE-related learning across the organization for continuous improvement.
• Ensures feedback is provided to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.

Ensures their own area of responsibility is audited
Drives and ensures compliance with group management systems.
Draws on expertise and insights to gain a deeper understanding of actual work processes, enabling continuous improvement of systems and controls.
Engages with external stakeholders (e.g., customers, suppliers) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness of, gain commitment to, and obtain objective feedback on ABB's HSE efforts and performance.
Collaborates with other functions and business partners to drive HSE performance.
Coaches, supports, and advises the leadership and line managers on HSE matters, reporting the performances of their respective organization across the ABB value chain.
