Department
In Vestas we have four production units. One of the production units is Vestas Nacelles. We produce the house on top of the Wind Turbines. In Vestas Nacelles we have a group of factories working with castings, surface treatment and machining called Vestas Components. Vestascastings Guldsmedshyttan AB is a part of that department.
In Sweden we have two foundries, one in Guldsmedshyttan with 122 employees and one in Lidköping with 85 employees. The foundries produce castings for wind turbines. The foundry in Guldsmedshyttan has a long history and high competence in the casting industry and is also state of the art in Europe when it comes to big castings.
In Vestas, safety is prioritized as No 1 and with a very high focus on proactive work to prevent accidents the HSE department works with health, safety and environment.
Responsibilities and tasks
• You are a member of the management team and you are responsible for both foundries regarding HSE area. You are expected to be highly dedicated, active and loyal in working with the management team issues. You report direct to VP. As a HSE manager you are responsible for a department with two employees (HSE professionals) that reports directly to you.
• You work strategically with all HSE issues and plan, delegate and follow up the ongoing work in the department.
• You are responsible for the systematic fire protection work.
• You are responsible for identifying health and safety legislation that we need to follow and are also responsible for implementing the accurate instructions according to these legal aspects.
• Responsible for identifying and handlling environmental legislations according to Miljöbalken.
• Responsible for contact with authorities in HSE matters.
• Responsible for implementing instructions and policies from Vestas Nacelles.
Qualifications and work experience (mandatory)
• You have a relevant education on academic level.
• You have at least 5 years experience in a similar position.
• You have leadership experience.
• You have adequate knowledge about the Swedish legislation in the HSE area.
• You speak and write both Swedish and English.
• We value your personal qualities very high. As a person you have strong personal drive and at the same time you are open in your communication as well as high focus on HSE.
Additional information (mandatory)
Primary work location is Guldsmedshyttan but as responsible for both Lidköping and Guldsmedshyttan you are expected to be in Lidköping on a regual basis.
