Sandvik Coromant in Gimo is our biggest production site and a world leader in cemented carbide blades and tools for drilling, milling and turning of metal. We are now looking for an HR Site Manager for the site and its 1 400 employees. You commit to our vision to shape the future together, contribute to a setting based on flexible and lean processes and support volume development through cost efficiency, superior quality and world-class delivery. In this strategic position, you engage in enabling our Production Strategy, working together with production executives and a team of HRBPs and HR Professionals to significantly lift our performance, increase competitiveness and clearly state the future direction of our organization.
The location for this position is in Gimo, Sweden and some travel may occur.
Key performance areas
in this position, you ensure an efficient HR organization and a structure that build confidence in HR throughout the entire organization. You lead and develop a team of HRBPs and HR professionals in alignment with business needs and priorities and are responsible for enhancing organizational performance and the business from an HR point of view. This includes supporting strategic initiatives, contributing in setting the HR roadmap for the future of Sandvik Coromant Gimo and creating synergies with other Sandvik entities. Performance management, talent and succession management and diversity and inclusion are important responsibilities. You support managers in carrying out change initiatives by offering expertise and tools, and you take full ownership of the HR delivery model, with a continual dialogue and close cooperation with other parts of HR to ensure high quality support for our business. In addition, you develop and maintain a united approach and excellent collaborations with our various stakeholders, especially the union representatives.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a university degree, preferably in HR, or equivalent knowledge gained through working experience. You have experience from HR in a production environment and are skilled in managing stakeholders, building teams and understanding business contexts. Previous knowledge and practice of Swedish labor laws are necessities. The ability to work effectively within a matrix organization is a key to success in this role, as is experience from leading in change. A successful managerial experience would be appreciated. As we interact on the global stage, you have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, both in writing and in speaking.
