Overview
We are looking for a HR Services Desk Manager to Global Business Services (GBS). If you would like to be part of an exciting transformation journey, working with a global and highly motivated organization of around 1000 people, this is the opportunity for you.
GBS is the service partner to the entire Essity delivering services within finance, human resources, workspace and master data. Our employees, spread across more than 35 countries, deliver both professional and transactional services every day to all our internal customers in Essity. We are in the beginning of a transformation journey, meaning going from a regional organization set up to a service aligned and to develop our way of working making use of new modern technology and solutions.
The HR Services Desk Manager has a global responsibility and leads the services delivered within HR. As an HR Services Desk Manager, you will be accountable for the global service desk for all HR Services, including being the first point of contact for customers. This will be a central role for the whole HR community requiring continuous contact with different HR stakeholders. You will have a key responsibility by defining and building a new service development team, whose tasks will include improving and managing our new system ServEss and virtual assistant. Thus, you and your team will have vital role in collecting and transferring knowledge and turning that knowledge into continuous improvement. Also, you will contribute to the development of other new and/or improved services, tools, and processes
You will report to the GBS Director HR Services and this global position will be located in Gothenburg. Some travelling may be required, yet skype, video etc. is the common global meeting setting.



Main Tasks
Define, build and coordinate the Service Desk team and its function within GBS
Responsible for collection and transferring knowledge inside and outside of the GBS sourcing administration team, and working to turn that knowledge into continuous improvement
Contributes to development of new and/or improved services, tools and processes through participation in projects and initiatives led by the services development teams
Accountable for customer satisfaction and continuous efficiency improvements in own area
Responsible to secure close cooperation between the different organizational units across the matrix organization
Responsible to establish and maintain an effective communication with customers and key stakeholders, within matrix and own organisation
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the team by performing the employee management process for staff e.g. staffing decisions, coaching, development and evaluation.
Responsible for delivering all services agreed to internal customers across all Essity Business Units in a correct and timely manner
Accountable for budget and to secure good cost management within own responsibility area

Key Competencies
University Degree and or equivalent experience within the HR field
Fluent in English
Service Management knowledge or experience is preferred
Demonstrated success in leading and developing remote teams in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment
Taking ownership and working proactively towards the business and customers
Skilled in driving and managing change
Drives continuous improvements and implements
Adopts new technology/systems
Being structured, always having a holistic perspective
Experience from an international working environment
Has the right and positive want-to/can-do-attitude
