The Human Resources Research & Development aims to provide the different groups within R&D with comprehensive human resources support in order to attract, recruit, develop and retain employees. Human Resources drive the development and implementation of effective HR strategies, programs and processes to support the long-term achievement of the overall Volvo Cars business plan.
As HR Manager R&D you will report directly to Vice President Human Resources, Research & Development. In this relatively senior position you will also act as business partner to one of the R&D business units and thereby be a part of management team with an important role to lead all HR related activities in the unit.
Main responsibilities
• HR Manager acts within the Business unit and serve as an Account Manager i.e. is accountable for all HR deliverables in the Business Unit
• Drive Business Transformation, primarily focus on HR strategic activities influencing the business agenda HR Manager is flexible to work cross functionally and support business units based on needs
• Together with management identify the organizational capabilities required to execute the business strategy
• Drive People Strategy
• Champion the HR initiatives in the Business Unit
• Translate business needs/improvement areas into HR requirements and actions
• Proactively develop, support and monitor actions linked to improved organizational health and increased performance
• Coach and provide advice to line management on people matters as the people specialists
• Collaborate within the HR function to secure innovative HR solutions and efficiency in HR services
Required qualifications
• University Degree within or equivalent
• Ability to strategically develop BU's Human Capital (i.e. Leadership and Competence Development)
• Broad and deep HR experience
• High level of understanding of all HR processes and policies
• Process/Project management and Business case creation
• Used to working in an international environment with cultural diversity
• Change Management & Coaching
• Workforce/Resource Planning (including job and team design)
• Performance Management (maximizing engagement, motivation and productivity)
• Fluent in English, oral and written

• Influencing skills (communications & rhetoric)
• Understanding the global perspective of Volvo Cars business
• Holistic view and analytical mindset
