The HR Manager is the first point of contact for managers, employees and unions to provide counsel, coaching and support on HR fundamentals, employee as well as union related questions. The HR Manager will work with HR Generalist in Umeå. Both roles report to Country HR Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:
This role is critical in executing key HR initiatives supporting the business strategy and providing available and responsive internal employee support as well as driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple leaders and employees within a complex business environment
Strategically partner to Plant Manager and Management Team to design and implement the most effective organizational structures, handle union relations and manage transitions
Provide guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate
Through strategic workforce planning and business acumen identify and take action on recruiting needs
Lead leadership assessment in the organization, identifying key employee strengths and development needs in order to recognize, select, retain and develop key talent
Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance

Qualifications/Requirements:
To be successful in this role we believe the right candidate will have a minimum of five years professional work in Human Resources function with responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development or performance management. Demonstrated experience from handling union relations and from working in a matrix work environment is required. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field and professional English is required.

Desired Characteristics:
Strategic mind-set with strong business acumen resulting in ability to professionally drive HR agenda fully in sync with business strategy. Demonstrated experience in making sound and productive HR decisions and assessing leadership talent. Experience from working in a manufacturing business is an advantage.
