HR Manager - Purchasing

Human Resources aim is to provide the company with comprehensive human resources support in order to attract, recruit, develop and retain employees. Human Resources leads the development and implementation of effective HR strategies, programs and processes to support the long-term achievement of the overall Volvo Cars business plan.

As HR Manager - Purchasing you will work closely together with an HR Business Partner supporting the Purchasing organisation at Volvo Cars. The position also includes a responsibility for two smaller units; Environment and Purchasing Manufacturing Business Office (PMBO). As an HR Manager your focus is on strategic HR initiatives. The position has no direct reports. You will report to the HR Director for Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality &Logistics and Purchasing.

Main responsibilities

• Act within the business unit and serve as an account manager with responsibility for all HR deliverables in the business unit
• Drive business transformation, primarily focused on HR strategic activities influencing the business agenda
• Together with management identify the organisational capabilities required to execute the business strategy
• Translate business improvement areas into HR requirements and actions
• Proactively develop, support and monitor actions linked to improved organisational health and increased performance
• Collaborate within the HR function to secure innovative HR solutions and efficiency in HR services

Required qualifications

• University degree within Human Resources Management
• At least 5-10 years successful experience from HR in a complex business environment in an international context
• Ability to strategically develop the business units Human Capital
• Experience in setting and implementing strategies and projects
• Experience from process/project management and business case creation
• Change management and coaching skills
• Experience from working with strategic workforce/resource planning
• Competence in Performance Management (maximising engagement, motivation and productivity).
• Fluent in English, oral and written
