Powertrain Production (PTP) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of heavy-duty diesel engines for commercial vehicles. Powertrain production provides diesel engines and transmission systems to the Volvo Group and also remanufactures a range of products. Powertrain Production has facilities in Charlotte, Curitiba, Flen, Hagerstown, Köping, Limoges, Middletown, Skövde and Vénissieux.

We are looking for a new member of our regional HR team

We are step by step growing our knowledge about Volvo Production System and People Development to support the Continuous Improvement journey of our organization. Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys working as a true Business Partner, driving HR related topics close to the business need? Are you a person that builds trusting relationships around you and can work both independently and effectively in teams at a distance? Do you enjoy creating order and context in facts & figures and can present analysis of them in a clear and concise manner? The primary responsibility of this role is to as HR Business Partner support a part of the organization in all HR related issues that drive business performance and participate in delivering organizational goals. The secondary part of the role is to as a HR specialist drive and coordinate one or several HR processes, supporting the HR network and local HR teams as needed.

This position will report directly to the VP Human Resources for GTO Powertrain Production and be part of both the regional HR team and the extended GTO Powertrain Production HR network.

Key Responsibilities

As HR Business Partner
• Support development of the HR strategic roadmap into activities and plans that fully support the business goals
• Implement Human Resource activities and processes within the designated organisation, compatible with organisational values, ethics, company policies and in line with labour law and agreements
• Drive, challenge and support management team and line managers regarding change management, employee engagement, organizational-, culture- and people development as well as application of HR Processes and tools to improve business performance
• Secure quality in HR data and perform analysis to understand and present trends as well as suggest actions as relevant, in order to support the capability of the organization
• Work closely with relevant HR Business Partner network, HR Center of Expertise and HR Services (as relevant) to ensure effective delivery of HR services to the assigned organizations

As HR specialist
• Drive, coordinate and follow up dedicated HR Process/competence area and or projects, in close collaboration with other stakeholders. Examples of competence areas could be Talent management, Diversity& Inclusion, Compensation&Benefits etc.

Essential Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business administration or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience
• Fluent in both speaking and writing English language
• Ability to work successfully in a global organization, in close collaboration with local teams
• Coaching skills
• Solid analytical and presentation skills
• Experience of driving change
• Experience of HR work in an Operations environment (such as Manufacturing) as well as knowledge around Lean Manufacturing is an advantage but not mandatory
