Background: Pharmaceutical Technology & Development (PTD) possesses a high degree of expertise in pharmaceutical sciences and supply chain, focussed on our key technology platforms. It is an organisation that is undergoing a number of exciting changes and it now resides within Operations SET area ? with the opportunity to continue to integrate within Ops in order to create a single organisation that will be a powerhouse for delivering to patients.
Our goal is to create an industry leading capability and operating model for the design, development, delivery and life-cycle management of medicines. There are circa 1100 FTEs within the organisation supporting over 190 drug projects including late phase/in line projects. While there is a PTD presence at over 20 sites globally, the main development hubs are based in Sweden, UK, US and Germany.
There is a great deal of change relating to the positive integration of PTD and Operations, the integration and alignment of our inhalation product portfolio and the overall development of our combined strategic capabilities. Similarly, the PTD People Plan aims to focus on the delivery of organisation design in support of the underlying operating model, the enhancement of technical & leadership capabilities, the acquisition of critical talent and the further development of a high performing culture.
The role: This key role reports to the Global HRBP (PTD) and the role holder will execute self contained elements of the change programme and deliver key components of the People Plan.
This role presents an exciting development opportunity as the HRBP will primarily support the delivery of business change and act as a single contact point for complex HR policies issues within the change initiatives and Gothenburg hub. It provides the opportunity to directly support world-class scientists and leaders, links with the Science Units whilst also allowing individuals to connect and learn about Operations and the Supply Chain as a whole.
Underpinning the commitment to the role-holder?s personal development, this post provides the opportunity to establish a degree of autonomy by leading segments of change and being able to choose elements of the overarching PTD People Plan to personally lead. An attractive feature of this role is the ability of the role-holder to scope, plan and execute new and innovative HR approaches within this changing and agile business unit while shaping personal growth opportunities.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
The HR Business Partner will:
Participate in setting and executing goals against the strategic direction of the business area
Be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary projects covering a number of areas, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, people management, employee relations and change management
Liaise with senior management to understand business requirements and tailor specific solutions
Work across the HR function and business, seeking to ensure interventions are integrated in a consistent way that supports AZ?s organisational objectives
Act as primary point of contact for HR policy issues and significant change initiatives.
