We are looking for Hosting Solution Architects for the New Business department at Axis in Lund, specifically for the team developing the video-surveillance service Axis Guardian.
Axis Guardian is a cloud-based service that the surveillance cameras at your local store connect to. This enables alarm monitoring centers to investigate and take appropriate action to ongoing situations, export video evidence for past incidents and give the store employees access to video walls and mobile applications for increased safety.
Axis is the market leader in network video and is currently expanding within access control. Axis Guardian integrates this with alarm monitoring centers from several of the world's largest security companies, creating physical security services that users can rely on when they need it the most.
Our Hosting Solution Architects are responsible for proactively setting up and maintaining the hosting environment, monitoring system health, evaluating third party solutions, specifying relevant requirements to developer teams and daily operations in terms of hosting and service reliability. Members from across all teams form a specific on-call team that handles the 24/7 on-call operations.
Axis Guardian is hosted in Amazon Web Services using Ubuntu Linux, Percona XtraDB Cluster, ProxySQL, ClusterControl, Puppet and Terraform. We have previously developed custom tools for system management, but are transitioning to standardized solutions where we try to contribute to the community.
We are about 40 developers working with the service, including backend/frontend, quality assurance, hosting and support. In the end, what matters is that we deliver a security solution that our users can rely on.
